Jonathan Majors Reveals Childhood Sexual Abuse by Both Men and Women Starting at Age 9: “I Was F**ked Up”

Jonathan Majors recently opened up about the sexual abuse he endured as a child, revealing it came from both men and women starting when he was just 9 years old.

Reflecting on this traumatic period during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Majors explained, “I dealt with sexual abuse from both men and women from the time I was 9… from people who are supposed to look after you, in the absence of a father. I was f**ked up.”

The actor also shared that he confided in his mother about these experiences. She, a pastor, expressed regret for not being able to protect him. However, Majors reassured her, saying, “It’s not even an issue, Mom. I just want you to know. And now we can all get busy and continue to connect and grow and learn from it, because it’s something that was in our family.”

In his interview, Majors emphasized the importance of seeking help and understanding one’s past behaviors, saying, “There are no excuses, but by getting help, you begin to understand things about yourself.” He also discussed taking accountability for his actions, avoiding self-destruction, and choosing to “learn, metabolize, grow” through struggles.

This conversation came nearly two years after Majors was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in December 2023. While Majors was acquitted of some charges, he was convicted of assault and harassment, receiving probation and domestic violence intervention. Despite the controversy, Majors has been supported by several Hollywood figures, including his fiancée, Meagan Good.
